Is there an afterlife?

Yep. I went there... I am asking the BIG question: Is there an afterlife? Whatever your opinion is, please keep in mind, it is ONLY an opinion. There are no hard facts that supports the idea that there is without a doubt an afterlife, nor that there is not one.

Stephen Hawking recently claimed in an article, 'There is no heaven; it's a fairy story'.

For those of you who do not know who Stephen Hawking is:

Professor Hawking has twelve honorary degrees. He was awarded the CBE in 1982, and was made a Companion of Honour in 1989. He is the recipient of many awards, medals and prizes, is a Fellow of The Royal Society and a Member of the US National Academy of Sciences.

Now, I am not saying this professor is not intelligent in ways that others could only dream to be, but what gives him the right to state something like this when there is no possible way to prove it DOES NOT exist?

The idea of an afterlife is built around faith, dreams, imagination, literature, and other forms of information. I was once an altar boy, strong in the catholic faith. Made my communion, confirmation, etc. At the time, I was a firm believer in God and a heaven. As I grew older, I drifted from my faith for many reasons. Even though I drifted from the church, I still held a general belief in an afterlife.

Many years later, I stand before you as more of a believer in an afterlife than ever. Why? Because with some of the stuff my paranormal team and I have seen from our investigations, I would be a fool to think otherwise. How can I dismiss that fact that I have heard 10 disembodied voices, 5 of which I caught on audio? No matter how hard I try to remain scientific/skeptical about it, I just can't deny what I have seen and heard over the years while paranormal investigating.

I have always thought NDE's might be an amazing way to see what lies ahead for us. If you want, Google "near death experiences" and read what others may already know.

So busy... a "Triangle of..." who??

I have been wanting to write up a new post on my blog for weeks now. I finally set aside a few minutes to write about something I had on my mind.

The other day, I went into a "mystic" shop to check out books and such. For me, I believe in the fact that there might be things spiritually at work in this universe that I do not fully understand. I also feel as though I am a 50-50 sort of guy. Little skeptical, but open minded as well.

So, as I was in this "mystic" shop, I asked the shop owner if he knew of any kind of crystals or such that could help a spirit manifest itself during an investigation. He replied with, "A triangle of art... You would need to make one yourself. It forces the spirit to show itself." Now, this sounded a lot like magic or a spell to me. I told the shop keeper, "I don't deal in magic and such. I take a more scientific approach to ghost hunting and don't want to conjure up demons or spirits against their will. I just want something to give them extra energy to manifest if they want to." He proceeded to tell me that the "triangle" was the way to go.

Now, why would I want to force a spirit to show itself to me? To try and control a demon or spirit during an investigation? No way man... I don't play that game. Why? Two reasons. Firstly, it seems almost obvious that when you start using magic and spells like this you are deliberately opening doors you may not be able to close correctly, and secondly, I do not want to force spirits to do anything. I have heard way too many horror stories of people getting possessed(or thinking they are possessed.) cause they didn't know how to do something properly.

I left the store shortly there after. He was a nice guy. Very helpful and excited to share the info. But I couldn't help but feel as though that this info he gave me could be a bit dangerous in the wrong hands. Buyer beware I guess. To each his own.

I think my next stop will be to purchase an EMF Pump or Ionizer like I had originally planned and continue to let the spirits come to me if they wish.
