What happened to this post? What did I do wrong?
Nothing. This post is fictitious in nature. I designed this post like this on purpose to show you what the near future could look like for the internet if we don't stand up against the SOPA/PIPA bills that our government is trying to pass into law. They say they are going to stop piracy, but what this would do is become a spring board for total internet control.
How do I know this? Well, if history serves right, the last time this happened a bill called the Patriot Act was signed into law by President George W. Bush on October 26, 2001. Ten short years later, the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2012 was signed into United States law on December 31, 2011.
So what does the NDAA law for 2012 mean? Well, it says in so many words that the government can go into your home, take you and lock you up indefinitely without trial. U.S. citizen or not. Makes no difference. This goes directly against the constitution of the United States and a free America.
This bill (H.R. 1540)was written in privacy and presented with as little as 2 hours for congress to approve. They pretty much ran it through quickly and with little notice from the American people. More people were more concerned with Lady Ga Ga than this bill that stripped Americans basic freedoms away.
Pay attention to what is going on with your government. It is everyone's job to keep in touch with politics and what these people are doing with our civil rights. If you don't do this now, tomorrow could be too late. This is not fiction, this is truth.
And just because the initial SOPA day of protest is over, don't go thinking you have done your part. Consider this your wake up call on a global level. Wake up and stay awake.
