My Ghost Story

Well, my MY GHOST STORY has finally aired! It is now embedded in TV history as MY GHOST STORY Episodes #53(I was also on Episode #52 for a brief minute or so which aired on December 14th as well.)

It was great fun working with everyone from Mark Phillips Philms and Telephision. Very professional crew and extremely easy to work with. My hat goes off to them. Awesome job from start to finish.

Will this open the doors to bigger and better things? The team and I hope so. We have been speaking with a good amount of people throughout 2012 about hosting our own show and such. I guess only time will tell.

Like I said in the past, it would be icing on an already awesome cake. We love doing what we do and look forward to many years of researching the unknown.

For those that want to view the episode, here it is. My story starts at about 36 minutes in if you do not care to wait for it. It is the last story of the episode.

My Paranormal Gift to You

First off, let me say Happy Holidays to you! Thanks again for a wonderful year and your support!

I thought about what to get the readers of this blog for Christmas this year. Sweaters, books, toys, etc. Then it dawned on me... Why not give the gift of protection?

Some of you know my past, some of you do not. I come from a background of music and toured the country extensively back in the late 90's. We opened up for some big bands such as Greg Allman, Matchbox 20, Vertical Horizon, Guster, etc. We had won SPIN magazines best unsigned band one year as well. I was even offered a part in a movie being filmed in NYC. We had a lawyer in uptown NYC and were destined to be the next band to be signed in New Jersey. It seemed as though it was our destiny. However, in time, things fell apart due to bad business dealings, bankruptcy, internal issues, etc.

During that time, I had bought and read a few good books about business ethics and practices. I learned how to conduct and protect myself from those that could do my business harm. It was a great eye opener for all things business related.

One thing I learned rather quickly from reading these books is that those that preach ethics, usually DO NOT have any. They sometimes will use this method to get inside your "inner circle", to gain your trust. They will use this tactic same as the Greeks did with the Trojan horse. Ever heard of the phrase, "Beware of strangers bearing gifts"? The Trojan war is where that phrase originates from and holds true in all business dealings.

Now listen, I am not saying that I do not trust anyone. What I am saying is that trust is EARNED, not implied. Just because someone implies that you to trust them, does not make them trustworthy. Same as if they preach 'unity'. Does that make them 'unified' with your ideas and beliefs? NO. It does not.

There was a point in time that I thought "paranormal unity" was possible, but then someone tried to burn me and my team. Luckily, I realized this from the books I read in the past that something negative was happening and quickly protected my team from damages. This was hands down the smartest business decision I have ever made to date. The team is stronger than ever before and we are back on track.

So, to sum it up, be cautious about those who preach "paranormal unity". DO NOT let anyone into your inner circle. It does not take a genius to figure out that this is a competitive field.

I am not saying that they are all bad people, but I am stating that you should protect what you love and work towards wholeheartedly. Anyone worth their weight will understand and respect your business stance. Anyone who does not respect this should find themselves on the 'outside' of your business dealings.

Use this advice or not. The choice is yours.

Oh yeah... and one more thing...

The truth about casting a paranormal TV show

Hello paranormal boys and girls! So, you want to be a paranormal TV star, huh? Today, we will discuss how you and your grandmother can get called for a casting call for a paranormal TV show! Exciting, huh?

No. No, it's truly not. In reality, it can be kind of disheartening. Annoying as well.

Well sure, the first time it happens seems kinda magical. Almost makes you feel special in a way. "You chose to call me?!?!?! HO BOY!!! I FEEL SO SPECIAL!!! You want me to make an audition video!??!? SURE THING!! WHEN DO YOU NEED IT BY???"

Listen. I do not want to be the one to burst your bubble, but I have seen waaaaaaaaay to many people get excited over producers calling them to audition for paranormal TV shows. What am I talking about? Well...

Just click HERE.

See what I mean? This is just one example of how many people they actually call for the auditions. They need for you to believe you are special so that they can get you on board for the project 'IF' they decided to use you. Some TV producers just want to pump you for information for their new show that was already cast about a year ago. It's called "fishing for ideas". They will take your best kept trade secrets and use them on their new show.

Over the years I have heard, "You are an amazing talent! They are so excited about you!", "The only chose YOU for the series! Aren't you excited?!?!", "They want to know if you have someone in mind to co-star!", etc.

My advice to you? Take it in stride. I have been called by over 10 different production companies in the past 2 years. Most of the time, the project withers and dies on the vine. The show they called about never even makes it to network. Not even a 'pilot' episode.

Don't get me wrong. Some of the producers out there are straight shooters. They will tell you that it's a long shot, or to not get to excited. The guys over at MY GHOST STORY treated me and everyone in my stories like gold. The pay sucked, but the reality of the situation was there 100%. (By the way, you can catch those episodes of MY GHOST STORY on December 14th and 21st on the BIO channel I believe...)

I wish everyone reading this blog post the best of luck in your auditions. Seriously. Break a leg. Just be sure to be in the paranormal for the right reasons. Learn the field, help people out, educate people with what you learn. Who knows... Maybe one day you will make it on a paranormal TV show...  just maybe...

Michael Myers

I was around 10 years old when I first saw john Carpenter's movie Halloween. Released in 1978, this movie solidified my love for horror movies from that point forward. I did not sleep for 2 days after watching this movie. It was a moment in my life I will never forget.

One thing I have always done is kept an eye out for that mask. No, not checking corners because of paranoia... I have always wanted to buy one. A REAL looking Michael Myers mask. Well, my wait has finally ended.

For around $50 this year, you can get the new 2012 Michael Myers Universal Halloween 2 mask.

This mark looks to be as authentic as you can get. Made by a company called Trick or Treat Studios. This is the first company to EVER get the mask right in my opinion.

How bad were the other masks made by other companies? Let's take a look...

Wow... scary, huh?
Add a little color and you have a clown mask!

Really???

What I can't understand is why it took so long for a company to do this. Legalities maybe? Rumor has it that they had to license this new 2012 mask as Halloween 2, even though the masks are pretty much the same in both movies. All because of licensing issues.

So, anyway... Here is a picture of me wearing my Michael Myer's costume proudly. Until next time... BOO!

Tis the season to be SCARY!!!

Ahhhhh. It's that time of year again! The ghosties and werewolves are getting ready to come to my door and yell, "TRICK OR TREAT!" Love this time of year. Not necessarily because of the candy, costumes and creepiness, but because it is a time of change. A renewal of sorts. The trees leaves drop, the air gets crisper. It almost feels like a time to start a new.

So, what do I have planned for this October? Well... some awesome Scream Paranormal Research team stuff of course. But I also think I am going to stop and smell the fallen leaves this season a bit. Maybe watch a classic horror movie or two. Definitely attend a few cool haunted attractions as well. Trick or treat? Of course!

Why? Because who knows what tomorrow will bring. Life is too short. Being true to yourself and your family is the only way to live an awesome life. I hope you never forget this.

So make a Pumpkintini(drink recipe below) and chill out this year with me. Happy Hauntings! Cheers!

PumpkinTini

1 ounce Stoli vanilla vodka
1 ounce Hiram Walker pumpkin spice
1/2 ounce Baileys
Cinnamon on top

Shake vodka, Baileys and pumpkin spice over ice and strain into martini glass. Sprinkle top with cinnamon.
Makes 1 drink.

December 21st, 2012

In this post, I re-visit the question on most everyone's mind this year...

What is going to happen on December 21st, 2012?

Mayan Calendar

The Mayan calendar has been viewed as being on of the most accurate calendar based systems ever created. The funny thing is, the calendar ends on December 21st, 2012. Some claim that there will be some form of shift in the human consciousness at this time. Like, an awakening of sorts. Similar to the Hopi Indians prediction of a Fifth World opening up to us and changing our perception on life.

Lately, I am seeing how the Mayan calendar has been miss-interpreted and that absolutely nothing will happen.

Magnetic Polar Shifts

When Tampa's airport shut down it's primary runway due to the magnetic polar shift causing false navigational readings, that was pretty alarming to some people. Tossing a compass off 10 degrees seems like a big shift, doesn't it? They claimed it to be a rare occurrence and everyone pretty much forgot about it and moved on.

Sun Flares

Solar storms and flares have been increasing according to multiple reports. I have found that it is rather funny that even Newt Gingrich had mentioned in passing that he is more scared of an EMP(electromagnetic pulse) than anything else. "Without adequate preparation, we would basically lose our civilization in a matter of seconds," Newt said during a 2009 conference. Could an electromagnetic solar storm knock out most of our electronics in a certain scenario?

Alien Disclosure

Some Ufologist believe we are on the dawn of enlightenment and full disclosure of extraterrestrial life. Whether it will be our government sharing the news, or a mass alien landing are yet to be seen. With the continual increase in sightings through over the past few years, it kind of seems like this could be happening already.

Nuclear Holocaust

You don't need to be a physic to figure out that our world is in big trouble when it comes to foreign affairs and the global economy. Tensions with Iran are at an all time high and they even moved the doomsday clock up to 5 minutes to midnight because of nuclear stockpile issues. With Russia and China taking sides with Iran, we could be looking at World War III if anything ever transpired.

Nibiru(Planet X)

Long thought of as a "doom-bringer" planet that was first predicted to pass by the earth in 2003, it was thought to cause major physical shift in the planet's poles, possibly causing the crust to shift bringing global disasters. Some still believe that the planet is on a collision course with earth and that this may occur in 2012.

NASA/World Government

So, what does the world governments or NASA say they know about this possible up coming event? Are they actually covering up an impending doom?

NASA has claimed that we will see an increase in possible solar storms from our sun. That is all they say at this time.

The United States government has taken a stance that nothing is going to happen, yet they seem to make preparations for some sort of event. Underground bases, FEMA camps, FEMA emergency training, money hording(banks, corporations, wall st.), etc.

I find it kind of funny that most people either ignore or want to remain oblivious to possible scenarios going on around them. They ignore governmental issues, as well as possible impending doom.

Whatever happens on that day, I know I for one will be taking a vacation day if possible just to be sure I can be close to my family and big bottle of Jack Daniels in case the SHTF.

Fort St. Catherine in Bermuda

Bermuda is an awesome place. I was lucky to run around an amazing fort this past week on a family vacation. Which place am I referring to? Fort St. Catherine.

Initially built in 1614, the St. Catherine Fort is a sight to behold. It was built by the British to fend off the Spanish, French and eventually the American armies. It is hard to imagine a fort not being haunted. There was even an exorcism held at the fort in the 1970's. Unfortunately, I do not have any details regarding this.

I went into the fort looking for any possible signs of a haunting and didn't find anything significant. This does not mean it is not haunted. When we were there, we were the only ones walking around in the lower chambers. The haunting supposedly takes place in lower chambers.

Here are a few photos I took while I was there snooping around.

L.A. or BUST!

Yep. That's right... I'm heading to Los Angeles, CA in the next few weeks or so.

Permanently? No. Vacation? Nope.

I am flying west to film with a popular ghost show that is on a well-known network. I am not sure if I am at liberty to say anything more than this as of yet. When I can say more, you know I will let you know.

Am I excited? Absolutely. I can't wait to see how this comes out. They do stellar work and from what I hear, they treat the talent with the utmost respect and integrity.

So, why am I sharing this information with you? I wanted to share this with you for a few reasons:

  1. You have been a loyal reader of this blog, and for this I 'thank you'. With your support, we continue to make this journey together. So far, it's been a great ride.

  2. I will always share as much as I can. Minus some personal things here and there, but you get the point. I love sharing everything that I can with you. Paranormal and beyond.
I totally look forward to the future. Stay tuned... We are going to have some serious fun!

Frontier Para Con 2012

Heeerrreee's... JOHNNY!!! ... Knoxville?!?!

The Stanley Hotel was built in 1909 and is located in Estes Park, Colorado. This beautiful hotel was vacationed by the rich and famous throughout it's years including John Philip Sousa, Theodore Roosevelt, the Emperor and Empress of Japan, and a variety of Hollywood personalities. This is the hotel that had inspired Steven King to write the book The Shining.

Frontier Para Con 2012 at the infamous Stanley Hotel was... Amazing? Stupendous? How about I say down-right, crazy, insane, coffee loving kind of fun? That's sounds about right...

Dan and Lara from Haunted Entertainment out did themselves this year. What can I say about them that hasn't already been said before? Professional, friendly and extremely cool para-peeps. Much love to these folks. I am sure we will be working with them a lot in the near future.

Made quite a few connections with some very interesting people. Some in attendance at the event I had known for sometime now, some new friends were made as well. All in all, there is one particular thing that stands out in my mind from this event... It's the ability to get together and to share in a professional, fun loving manner.

So, where do I go from here? The Stanley Hotel was an amazing place for many reasons. The staff was polite, Colorado is a beautiful state, and everyone staying at the hotel was pleasant and upbeat. I did run into a bit of altitude sickness, but it just fogged my mind for about 24 hours or so. Very weird feeling to say the least.

Roaming the halls of the Stanley Hotel has this cool, historical vibe to it. Almost like you've been transported back in time. The elevator looks to be original and even gives you a huge static charge ZAP if you drag your feet on the carpet and push the call button. It's hella funny to watch people using the elevator for the first time. Priceless...

Next up... Donnie(sp?) the security guard of the Stanley Hotel. Let me start by saying this poor guy had to put up with us partying till 7am in the morning on BOTH nights. He ALWAYS had a smile on his face as he asked everyone in an extremely polite manner, "Hey, can you please keep it down? We are getting complaints and you are too loud. Thank you." It was reminiscent of the movie the Breakfast Club. I'll never forget when I rounded a corner of the hallway in the hotel to run into him face to face at 3am in the morning. My first thought was, "Not again..." I'd put money down that he thought the exact same thing when he saw me as well.

Any paranormal activity? Well... not sure. I was sleeping at around 3pm in the afternoon for an hour or so and heard footsteps in my room. That is what actually woke me up from a deep sleep. It almost felt like someone was there in the room with me. It was weird and I recorded it on my iPhone. So, if it seems legit, I will post it at a later date and time. Still need to go over additional video and such as well.

So many cool peeps at this event... Christopher and Phillip Booth, Joe and Kale from ZTalk Radio, Nick, Deb, Scotty, Rosalyn, Chris and Elena, Cass, Justin, Chris, Julie, Kevin, Shelly and everyone else I got to hang with. Love you all. Can't wait to see you all again real soon.

Oh yeah, before I forget... the whole 'Johnny Knoxville' thing is Kale and Joe's from ZTalk Radio's idea. Those 2 guys are freakin' hilarious. If you ever get to meet them, be sure to ask them for a dollar and tell em' I sent you to collect the cash...

Pic time!
